JAMKO has serious amount of events and freetime activities to enjoy. JAMKO members will always participate with smallest costs!
Pop culture and pub culture
JAMKO's traditional Detention (Jälki-istunto) will be enjoyed in Keskimaa’s restaurants. Time flies with pub quiz tournament, various artists and student discounts.
This fall the Naama Näkkärillä -stand up competition will get a surprising follower. JAMKO gets also excited about flower printed skirts and dancing shoes giving students the opportunity to be stunned from traditional dances.
In JAMKO Café there is a lot going on through out the year; come to try book club, sewing of the overall badges, board game night, movie night and so forth.
Amazing parties
The biggest student events of the autumn are the Opening Picnic and it’s afterparty, Tursajaiset, Overall Oath Party, Pre X-mas Party and Doom’s Day Rave. In the spring season the biggest parties are Snowday with it’s after ski party Ice Bra and End of the Semester party before the summer holidays.
Opening Picnic just after the orientation week is relax and urban event in the park Lounaispuisto, when Opening Party introduces you to the nightlife in the Bling Bling cocktail -theme.
Tursajaiset is officially for new students. It's a fun tour around the town solving puzzles with the team and a tutor. Not forgetting the after party gathering hundreds of students to greet each other. Theme of the Tursajaiset is Apocalypse so beware of the mummy around the corner!
In Overall Oath Party you will get your student overalls officially
into hard use by swearing that your student life won't become boring or dry. In october JAMKO is celebrating it’s 12th anniversary. Pre X-mas Party will gather all the naughty students under one roof.
The big student parties of JAMKO are held in bar Bra not forgetting the special nights in Freetime. Pre tickets can be bought conveniently from JAMKO Café or the stand tour, but of course also the JAMKO office and all other member service points.
Legendary “Kauppakadun Appro” is also something worth experiencing. Students arrive with buses from all over Finland to conquer Kauppakatu! We assure you, it’s going to be a liquidy happening.
