Housing
Jyväskylä is a popular student city therefore searching of accommodation should start early. Especially in the autumn there are lot of candidates looking for housing. In the centre of Jyväskylä housing is slightly more expensive, on the other hand, when living further away from the city centre you may need local travel card or other methods of transportation. When choosing your first home in Jyväskylä do not put too strict criteria for your living, a roof over the head is a priority, so that you can concentrate on your studies! Check out the map of Jyväskylä, and clarify the location of your school and campus, at the same time you can reflect on what sort of distance away from your school you want to live in.

Harassment contact persons
Harassment contact persons are supporting you in case you feel bullied or have some kind of harassment either by staff of the school or classmates. Contact persons are the students like yourself but they have been trained and they are familiar with their tasks. Contacts are extremely confidential. Harassment contact persons will help you with the situation ongoing. JAMKO has two harassment contact persons both male and female.
You can contact harassment contact persons via email hairinta (at) jamko.fi. Enter to a title field either "female harassment contact person" or "male harassment contact person" depending on either you want to contact.
Library services
JAMK University of Applied Sciences has its own library on each campus. A student card can be activated to be used as a library card! You can borrow books from any campus and return the books anywhere. For more information >>>

Study Psychologist
Study psychology services may be necessary when your studies are not progressing and you find signs of fatigue from yourself. Services are provided free of charge for students.

Student financial aid

Student Dining
The students of the University of Applied Sciences are entitled to a reduction of 1.67 euros on meal prices at the student restaurant by showing a student card, a Kela meal bonus card, a registration certificate, or other certificate on study entitlement at a higher education institution.
The meal subsidy is also granted at the student restaurants of Finnish universities and other universities of applied sciences

Student Healthcare and Dental care
Student healthcare services are intended for all students, regardless of the home municipality. Health care includes: health checks, vaccinations, preventive care issues, medical care, mental health and supervision of health conditions etc. Work is done by a doctor and nurse. Medical appointments can be booked through the nurse. Reception of the nurse without an appointment is on weekdays 8-11 at Tapionkatu 7, 40200 Jyväskylä
Jyväskylä, a student may enrol for dental care in their own neighborhood dentist. Foreign Residents students receive priority for urgent emergency care (eg, toothache, dental accident, or irritated wisdom tooth.)
