JAMKO board member responsible of Peer and degree tutoring
In the JAMKO board the member responsible of Peer tutoring takes care of the Finnish and English degree programmes tutoring alongside with the relevant study field student association board member. The board member plans and takes part together with the tutor and sports secretary in the training of the Peer tutors. The board member is also responsible for recruitment and insuring that there are enough tutors in each degree programme. Together with the study field student associations board member responsible of tutoring they plan a map for the year that guides the tutoring process in the different unit.

JAMKO board member responsible for International tutoring
The board member responsible for International tutoring is responsible for the tutoring of exchange students. The board member plans and executes the training of the International tutors together with the tutor and sports secretary. JAMK’s international office lists of arriving exchange students ensure that a personal tutor is selected for all the exchange students. The board member also takes care of the related issues such as renting the pickup car and the Survival Kit service.

JAMKO's Tutor and Sports Secretary
Tutor and Sports Secretary is responsible for the development of peer guidance in JAMK University of Applied Sciences. The secretary acts as the pilot of the tutor training and is responsible of the content planning and the practical matters of the study module. The secretary participates in the development of JAMKs guidance systems and works together with JAMKs personnel. Tutor and Sports Secretary work together with JAMKOs board members responsible for tutoring and supports their work.

Study Field Studend Associations' board members responsible of tutoring
In each study field student association there is a board consisting of students. In the board there is a person responsible of tutoring. These board members are not selected or trained by JAMKO even though most of them act as a tutor for either degree or exchange students. The study field student association’s board members responsible of tutoring operate closely together with the degree programmes tutors in charge and the teachers. In addition to the tutoring activities of their own they participate in JAMKOs trainings and meetings.
Peer and Degree tutors
Peer and Degree tutors usually guide the students of the Finnish and English degree programmes during the first year. The tutors job is to familiarize the students with each other, the elder students and the new study environment starting from study tools like ASIO or Optima. The tutors participate in study modules through which they receive the education and training for their work and the study credits for being active tutors. The tutors participate in the work of JAMKOs tutor teams and together with JAMKO board members organize the first year students freshmen party Tursajaiset in early September. The tutors keep close contact with the JAMKO board as well as the study field student associations' board members responsible of tutoring.
International tutors
The exchange students arriving to Jyväskylä get help from trained International tutors. The job of these tutors is to introduce the exchange students to each other and other students of JAMK as well as the study environment starting from tools like ASIO and Optima. In addition the International tutors are the closest support net for the arriving exchange students, and they are there to help the exchange students with matters from grocery shopping to housing.
Even prior the arrival to Finland and Jyväskylä the exchange students receive information from their personal tutors about how to find an apartment, how to use public transportation etc. The International tutors pick up the exchange students usually from Travel Center or the Jyväskylä or Tikkakoski Airport and take them to their flats to which they can get the keys in advance. The International tutors can also get the Survival Kits for the exchange students.
The International tutors have their own study module through which they receive training from JAMKO and the support for their work, as well as study credits after working actively as a tutor. The International tutors take part in the JAMKO's international tutor team meetings and together with the board member organize the freshmen party Tursajaiset for the new students in early September. The International tutors keep in touch with the JAMKO board and their own degree programme closely.
