Because none of the presidential candidates managed to get over 50% of the votes casted in roundone, two candidates with the highest amount of votes move to the second round. The early voting in the second round of Finland's presidential election starts on 25th of January and ends on 31st of January. The final voting is held on Sunday 5th of February. The two candidates moving on to the second round are Sauli Niinistö (37,5% of first round votes) and Pekka Haavisto (18,8% of first round votes). The results will be announced on 5th of February.
