Representatives Council elected for 2025

JAMKO has elected a new Representative Council for the term 2025. There were 2577 members entitled to vote and a total of 297 JAMKO members voted in the elections. The turnout was 11.53%, a decrease of 3.71 percentage points compared to the last elections. In most of the student unions of Finnish universities of applied sciences, the official election date is the same on 6 November.

JAMKO had six electoral alliances and two candidates stood as independent candidates.

Listed below are the number of seats (full + alternate) in the Council for the coming term, the number of votes and the percentage of votes cast.

  • MisFits MF, 8 + 0, 95 votes, 32% of votes
  • Jyväskylän Insinööriopiskelijat JIO, 4 + 1, 52 votes, 17.5% of votes
  • Sosiaali- ja terveysalan opiskelijat SoTe, 2 + 0, 49 votes, 16.5% of votes  
  • JAMKOn Punavihreät JAMKOPUVI, 4 + 0, 48 votes, 16.2% of votes
  • Jyväskylän perussuomalaiset opiskelijat, 1 + 0, 18 votes, 6.1% of votes
  • Jyväskylän Keskustaopiskelijat JOK, 0 + 1, 6 votes, 2.0% of votes  
  • Independent candidates:
    • Saiyansh Kushal 1 seat, 17 votes, 6.7% of votes
    • Zakaria El Khanjar 1 seat, 12 votes, 4.04% of votes

The candidate with the most votes, the vote-puller, was Iiris Ripatti of the alliance Sosiaali- ja terveysalan opiskelijat SoTe, who received 49 votes.

The new Council will meet 11 November at 16.00 at their organizational meeting, when the composition of the Council may still change if members are elected to the JAMKO Board. In this case, the Student Union will probably organise and additonal election to complete the Council.
