Affect Jamk’s operations! – Become a student member of Jamk working groups for 2025

Have your say on Jamk’s operations as a student representative! JAMKO is looking for student representatives to join JAMKO’s working groups to make the student voice heard in Jamk’s decision-making. JAMKO’s statutory role is to elect student representatives to working groups and institutions of higher education, thus promoting student empowerment and participation in higher education. 

To apply in advance for a position that interests you, please use the form at the bottom of this page. You can also put yourself forward for the post in question in the meeting where the decision is made. You do not have to be a member of JAMKO or JAMKO’s council. In some groups, Finnish language skills are an advantage. 

Student representatives are sought in the following groups, with the number of people to be selected at the end of the group.

• Jamk Management Group (1)
• EduJyväskylä’s Management Group (1 reserve)
• Board of examiners (1 + 1) 
• Education Management team (1)
• Academic Board (2)
• RDI management team (1) 
• Quality team (1 + 1) 
• Ethics Committee (1 + 1)
• Strategic International Development Group (1 + 1)
• Indoor air monitoring team (1 + 1)
• Sustainable development working group (1 + 1)
• Thesis Forum (1) 
• University Sport Cooperation Group (1 + 1)
• Restaurant committee (6, at least 1 + reserve per unit)
• HYPE – working group (1)

The Council of Representatives elects the student representatives in accordance with the election regulations at its meeting on Monday 25.11.2024 at 17.00 in Auditorio Valjakka. Remote attendance is possible. Information on remote participation can be found at the end of the Council’s pages. The candidates will also briefly introduce themselves at the meeting. If you are on able to attend to the meeting, please contact us beforehand.
