Freshmen Party 2018 – time for the end credits of the movie

Finally? Already? Well, it’s over – the event we long waited for and organized even longer. You know, the small event called the Freshmen Party. I was the safety manager for the event, as well as the co-host of the day and evening, so I gained a lot of different kinds of knowledge and skills. However, I think what I will most of all cherish the memories and experiences I obtained.

In the Freshmen Party we let the students roam free all over the Jyväskylä city centre and a lot of colourful movie folks there were going around the control points! The participants got to know their new city and other students as well. We at JAMKO had an amazing day, hopefully you did too!

Thank you to all you amazing tutors, security stewards and first-aid personnel for keeping up with the action for the entire day and making sure the Freshmen Party folk were okay. A super big thank you to all the control point personnel who developed and executed the most amazing activities for the event. A big thank you belongs to the JAMKO board for organizing and making the event happen through various jobs. A great big thank you also to our lovely partners, who made it possible for this event to be as amazing as it was. But the Freshmen Party wouldn’t have been anything without all the students participating, so the biggest thanks is yours!

Special thank you to Juho and Jasmiina, the event managers. Together we organized this event and together we survived! To the next adventure!

The ranking was based on the total of spirit and performance points. If the total was even, the performance points defined the rank.

*Fixed. Previously marked 27 points. The fix affected the total points**, which in order changed the ranking***.
