JAMKO is moving!

JAMKO will start operating in its new premises on Jamk’s Main campus after a week of non-contact. The new premises are located on the ground floor of D-wing, below the student restaurant in room DP61. The four Study Field Associations Jasto, Konkurssi, MatkaRata and Jio will move to the office next door. JAMKO and the SFAs will share a common meeting room and break room.

Annu Suvilehto, the Chair of JAMKO, is excited about the more central location and the new opportunities and sense of community that the move will bring. “Now we feel that we are closer to the students and we can also work more closely with the SFAs. The shared facilities will re-energise our internal activities, our work to enliven student life and to improve our advocacy.”

The office will open on Tuesday 5 March at 11.00 in room DP61. There will be no changes to JAMKO’s office services. Students can still pick up their JAMKO student cards, membership cards, theses book bindings, loan items for their free time, and chat about topics of interest at the office. Service hours are Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11.00 to 15.00.

JAMKO and the SFAs are organising a joint house warming party on 12 March from 12.00 to 15.00. There will of course be open doors to both offices, sweet treats and live music.
