JAMKO’s actives for 2016 chosen
Student Union JAMKO’s new board and the Chairpersons of The Representatives for the year 2016 was elected on Thursday night Nov 26th at the organizing meeting of the Representatives.
The Chairperson of the Board for the year 2016 is Eemeli Rajala, a second year international business student. The Representatives elected Tiia Kolu as the Vice Chair of the Board for the term 2016. Kolu is a third year business administration student.
Members of the Board in 2016 are Linda Holma, Tommi Kukkonen, Sami Jussinmäki, Katja Väärälä, Tuomas Kallinki, Roni Sorsa and Jarna Väisänen. The areas of responsibility the Board will decide in their first board meeting on 9th of December.
The Representatives elected Katri Hurskainen, a second year energy technology student as the new Chairperson of the Representatives’ council and Niko Korhonen as the Vice Chairperson for 2016. Korhonen studies automation technology for the 2nd year. In addition, the Representatives elected the student members to JAMK UAS’ working groups and to the delegation of Central Finland Student Housing Foundation KOAS. The New Representatives council, Board and the student members of the working groups start their term January 1st 2016.
The Board and the Representatives follow the events of the higher education field, informs, reports, takes stands. In addition the Board organizes different services and events for the students. All Board members and the Representatives are JAMK students working in the position of trust based on voluntariness.
