Join the Nordic Youth Climate Conference Team in Stockholm!
This autumn, JAMKO will join forces with other Nordic student and youth organizations to co-organize an inspiring, youth-driven climate conference in Stockholm. The event will bring together young changemakers from across the Nordics to explore climate issues, influence policies, and build a stronger network of active youth voices.
We’re now selecting 3–6 students to join the organizing team and take part in planning and executing this international event in Stockholm later in autumn. As a participant, you’ll become part of a working group, helping shape everything from the event program to logistics and outreach. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience, build new skills, and make a real impact!
This event will be organized together with: GS Copenhagen, GS Mälmö, GS Stockholm, Push Sverige, Ungir Umhverfissinnar & YES Europe.
Working Group Roles
The working groups will focus on the following areas:
- Funding, Finances & Partnerships
Managing the budget and collaborating with funding bodies and partners. - Content & Program Planning
Designing the structure, topics, and speakers for the event. - Outreach & Communications
Engaging with participating organizations, attendees, and stakeholders. - Logistics
Coordinating the venue, catering, travel, and on-site arrangements. - Marketing
Promoting the event through social media, visuals, and other channels. - Awareness & Safeguarding
Ensuring inclusivity, legal compliance, and a safe environment (Code of Conduct, accessibility, etc.).
Working groups will set their own meeting schedules, but all groups will come together for a weekly 1-hour check-in to coordinate and track progress.
Working groups and the project will use English as the work language.
Project Timeline & Commitment
The project will run from April through October, including summer months. While flexibility is possible, participants should be prepared to stay actively engaged throughout this period, contributing to their group’s tasks and joining the weekly check-ins.
Later in the autumn, you will travel to Stockholm to execute this well planned event!
