Do you want to be involved in promoting democracy and ensuring that JAMKO’s main elections are fair? The Central Election Committee is looking for new members!
JAMKO is looking for new members of the Central Election Committee from among the students to run the elections for the autumn 2025. The elections will elect the members of the Student Union Representative Council for 2026.
In the Central Election Committee you will be involved in a variety of tasks according to your own wishes and strengths and you will certainly learn something new.
Central Election Committee
- Decides on the election method and timetable
- communicates with stakeholders
- markets elections and voting
- supports candidates in the election process
- ensures that voting and counting of votes is done according to the rules
- encourages students to participate in the elections
- counts the votes
- organises election night
You may be already experienced or just getting interested in the subject. No previous experience is required – what matters is your impartiality and your desire to make a difference!
As a member of the Central Electoral Committee, you will also have the opportunity to meet new students from different fields, gain valuable experience of teamwork and get a glimpse of the student union. And don’t forget that being a trustee of the Central Electoral Board is an impressive entry on your CV. To serve on the Central Electoral Committee, you must be a member of JAMKO. The Central Electoral Board works in Finnish and English.
The Central Election Committee will be elected at the JAMKO Representative Council meeting on 10 March at 17.00 at the Main Campus in room C119.
