Pekka Mannermaa appointed as the new membership advisor
Pekka has started training with the current advisor Krista, and will start his job on April 2nd.
The student union JAMKO recruited a member service advisor in March and received 35 applications. The recruitment team interviewed 7 people. “We received many qualified applications for the vacant position and the standard of applications was high. Of those interviewed, it would have been a pleasure to work with all of them. Thanks again to all the applicants for their interest and time in JAMKO,” says Executive Director Ismo Puhakka.
Pekka Mannermaa has been appointed as JAMKO’s new Member Services Advisor. The recruitment team was impressed by Pekka’s IT and communication skills, his knowledge of JAMKO’s environment and operations, and his human approach to customer service work. Previously, Mannermaa has worked as a research assistant and graphic designer in the AIRE project of the Rehabilitation Institute of Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences and as a junior web designer trainee at WIMMALAB of Jamk. Mannermaa graduated as an ICT engineer from Jamk UAS in 2023.
The Member Service Advisor helps students with various issues related to the Student Union and its services. They takes care of membership and student card issues, membership systems, maintains the Student Union’s membership register and handles thesis book binding service. The Member Service Advisor also plays a key role in the development and marketing of membership services and membership.
“I’m really looking forward to the future, it’s great to be able to work for the students at JAMKO. Of course, I’m a bit nervous at the beginning, but I’m going into this job with really good vibes.” says Pekka Mannermaa, the newly appointed Member Service Advisor.
