Spring’s to-do list for students

Summer break is quickly approaching and JAMKO would like to remind students of certain things before sprinting off to enjoy the summer holidays.

JAMKO’s office starts it’s summer break on 12th of June at 12 pm. Graduate-to-be: Remember to leave your thesis binding order by June 4th at  the latest, so that they will be ready before JAMKO’s summer break. Further information on the schedule and the order formula on JAMKO’s website. Bound theses must be collected from JAMKO’s office by June 12th at 12:00 or select the delivery option as “JAMKO posts the thesis to the orderer “ when making the order. The orders are posted by 12th of June. More info.

JAMKO’s membership for academic year 2014 – 2015 and for spring 2015 is valid until the end of September 2015. You can collect the spring semester sticker by June 12th, so you’ll be able to e.g. travel cheaper during the summer. Membership for the next academic year or fall 2015 can be aquired from July 1st.  However the new membership sticker can not be collected until August 5th, when JAMKO opens its office after Summer break. Exchange students, remember to return your Survival kit to JAMKO’s office by June 12th at 12:00 the latest. Contact: opiskelijasihteeri@jamko.fi

Return your library books. JAMK’s libraries are closed during the summer between June 19th and August 2nd. Check the opening hours here

Enroll for attendance/non-attendance and to courses by May 31st. New students enroll for attendance/non-attendance of Autumn Semester 2015 through Studyinfo.fi service until 15 July 2015. More info on registration and enrollment.

Academic sports’ sticker is valid until the end of August. Summer semester is from May 18th to June 12th and from Aug 3rd to 28th. If you don’t have a sticker yet, you can buy summer semester sports sticker, which costs 20 euros and grants you the sport services for the rest of the term. More information: www.academicsports.fi

If you received student financial aid from Finland and if your incomes exceeded the annual exempt amount during the year 2014, return the aid voluntarily by 29th of May via bank or 31st of May via Kela’s internet service. More information or contact opintotukilautakunta@jamk.fi

Note these dates:

• JAMKO’s office is closed during the summer between June 12th 12pm and Aug 5th 10 am.
• JAMKO gym is open between 1st and 14th of June  Mon – Fri 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Cleaning hours as usual. Gym is closed during June 15th – Aug 23rd.
