Thesis binding service is available again!

During the spring, Student Union JAMKO has been searching a new partner to provide the thesis binding service with. JAMKO has selected Jyväskylän yliopistopaino as a new partner, and the cooperation will start at 1st of June onwards.

Thesis binding service will be available on spring semester until 11th of June, after which orders placed will be delivered to the press after the summer break in August. Orders can also be placed via the online form during the summer break.

The orders will be delivered to the press every Thursday by 2 p.m. from now on. Orders received after this will be forwarded to the press next Thursday. Delivery time for the orders is 4-6 working days, possible holidays and busy time may postpone the delivery time.

Theses will continue to be covered with black, stylish covers, and gilded printing will be done according to printing standard of hardcover theses, defined by JAMK UAS. The layout of the text on the cover will be made to be more clear and only the author’s name and year are printed on the back. Due to changes in production the prices of the thesis binding service have had to be raised.

Because of the ongoing COVID-19-situation the only delivery and payment option for thesis binding orders during spring is postage and invoice. The orders will be mailed directly from the printer, which is why the postage fees (8,50€) and invoice charge (7,00€) will be added to the orders. If the overall situation allows us to open our office in August, there shall be an option also for collecting and paying the order in JAMKO office, in which case there won’t be any additional costs.
